AS & A Level Computer Science

Understand the logic. Write the code. Explain your answer.

A Level Computer Science asks students to connect theory, programming and problem-solving. Lessons work through those connections, then turn them into clear, well-reasoned exam answers.

Bring the topics your child finds difficult, a recent paper or their current code. Dr. Rizwan can build the study priorities around their syllabus, examination year and starting point.

How enrolment works: each subject group starts only after at least three compatible students have enrolled, with a maximum of six. A new enquiry receives a place only if a matching group has an available seat. If a group is full or has not reached three enrolled students, ask about the next suitable group.

Before a place is confirmed: the tutor checks the student’s syllabus, examination year, learning needs and timetable. Enquiring does not reserve or guarantee a seat. For an IGCSE bundle, availability must be confirmed in every chosen subject.

Group pricing: the listed prices are per student and compare with the equivalent individual package at the same session count. All students attend the full number of shared lessons in their agreed timetable. Sibling discounts apply to individual tuition; group packages use their own listed prices.

Frequently asked questions

Share your child’s school year, subjects and examination board so the tutor can recommend the right starting point.

Which subjects and levels are offered?

IGCSE Maths, Physics, Computer Science and ICT. Choose any one, two or three of these four subjects at the existing bundle prices. At AS & A Level, Computer Science only. Send the exact syllabus code and examination year before booking.

Are Computer Science and ICT the same subject?

They are separate IGCSE subjects and appear separately in the subject selector. Choose the subject named on the student’s school timetable and syllabus. A Level tuition on this page is Computer Science only.

What makes the A Level Computer Science course a good fit?

Computer Science is Dr. Rizwan’s academic field: he is a Professor of Software Engineering with a PhD in Computer Science, a UK MSc in IT and more than 25 years in academia. Lessons connect theory, programming and exam answer practice, with priorities based on the student’s current syllabus and learning gaps.

Can we choose ICT within a two- or three-subject bundle?

Yes. Choose any two or any three of Maths, Physics, Computer Science and ICT. For example, Maths, Computer Science and ICT with 8 sessions per subject costs SAR 2,500 for 24 individual sessions per month. Bundles cover up to three subjects; there is no four-subject package on this page.

How are subjects different from session counts?

Subjects are what the child studies. The session count is the number of lessons in each chosen subject per month. Two IGCSE subjects with 8 sessions each means 16 sessions total for SAR 1,800. The same two subjects with 12 sessions each means 24 sessions total for SAR 2,500. Each is a complete monthly individual package for one student.

Does a higher A Level price include more subjects?

Every A Level package covers Computer Science only. Individual tuition is SAR 1,500 for 8 sessions, SAR 2,000 for 12 or SAR 2,500 for 16 per month. More sessions means more lessons in the same course.

Can the calculator combine IGCSE and A Level siblings?

Yes. Choose Siblings, enter the number of children, then select a separate course, subjects and session count for each. The summary shows each discounted child price and the combined family total. One IGCSE child on a SAR 1,000 plan and one A Level Computer Science child on a SAR 1,500 plan pay SAR 2,250 combined after the 10% sibling discount.

How does the sibling discount work?

Two siblings receive 10% off each selected individual package. Three or more receive 15% off each package. Children can choose different courses and session counts, with separate individual timetables. Packages must cover the same monthly period. The discount applies after the bundle savings already included in the package prices.

How many students are needed for a group class?

Each subject group needs at least three enrolled students before it starts and can have a maximum of six. Students must have a suitable subject, level, syllabus and timetable match. A new enquiry is offered a place only if a matching group has an available seat.

Can one child enquire about joining a group?

Yes. You can enquire for one child without bringing a full group. A place is offered only if a suitable group has an available seat. If the group is full or has not reached three enrolled students, ask about the next suitable group. Enquiring does not reserve or guarantee a place.

How do group bundles and sessions work?

IGCSE group bundles cover up to three of the four subjects, with 8 shared sessions in every selected subject per month. Availability is checked separately for each subject. A Level groups cover Computer Science only, with the listed monthly session count. Every shared session is 60 minutes and is attended by the students together.

Can sibling discounts be added to group prices?

Sibling discounts apply to individual tuition. Group packages have their own listed prices and availability process, so the individual sibling discount is not added to them. Group enquiries are separate from the individual and sibling calculator.

How are the savings calculated?

IGCSE individual package savings compare with the same number of lessons at SAR 125 each; A Level individual package savings use SAR 187.50 each. The group prices are 50% below the equivalent listed individual package. Sibling savings compare the final family quote with the sum of the chosen individual packages.

Is this only for PISJ-ES students?

PISJ-ES families who can attend in Al Rehab are the main local audience. Students from other international schools can enquire too. Online tuition is available when travel is difficult. Confirm the delivery format and timetable for a group before booking.

What is included, and how long is each lesson?

Each session is 60 minutes. Individual packages include a skills check within the first paid lesson, study priorities, teaching and practice for the selected subjects, and parent progress updates. A short parent consultation is free. There is no separate individual assessment charge.

What should we confirm before paying?

Confirm the syllabus, monthly package period, full timetable, delivery format, rescheduling and cancellation terms. For groups, also confirm the available seat and that the group has at least three enrolled students. Any change to family participation or group size should be addressed in the written booking terms.

Is a particular grade guaranteed?

The aim is stronger understanding, purposeful practice and better exam preparation. Progress depends on the student’s starting point, attendance and work between lessons; a particular grade is not guaranteed.

How do we book?

For individual tuition or siblings, use the calculator and send the itemised WhatsApp enquiry. For groups, use Check available places in the group section. Share the school year, examination board, syllabus and preferred timetable. The tutor checks suitability and availability before confirming a booking.
